Work takes up my time then I come home and pass out like an old person. Anyway, I really need to try and post more. I know I say that a lot, but I really need to do it. I have projects I am working on though
Even if this whole T-Shirt designing doesn’t take me places, one thing it has done is let me meet some really cool people. Through Carlos I happened to meet a crazy awesome designer from the Philippines, Nick Automatic. He makes such awesome designs, it is hard to put into words how cool I really think they are. He got a me a bunch of followers on Facebook, and I am really appreciative. So, recentley we decided to do a little shirt swap. And randomly I saw on the K.I.D Facebook page that he posted a picture of him in the Yellow Herb Wisney’s Rejects shirt. It really made my day. There isn’t much to say about it other than I admire Nick Auto so much and to see him wearing one of my shirts is just amazing.
GAH, the new Iron Man 2 Slurpee cups are out. I need to go get them. I have tons of others from when 7-11 does promotions with big movies. They will be my glasses for my beautiful china set when I get my first house. Although, I will probably be single then because not many women would want to be staring at Hulk Slurpee cup during a big fancy dinner
I think I will go get one today.
So, I don’t know what to post weekly, but one thing I thought would be cool was a nice little close up of some toys I collect. Today I am going to speak about Mighty Muggs. I would take a photo of mine, but…there are way too many. I want to show off though, the new San Diego Comic Con Marvel Mighty Mugg I want. Iron Man with Flip-Up Visor! ch-ch-check itttt!
I mostly collect the Marvel Muggs, I have them all so.
Ok, enough ranting. This week I am going to post some sketches I think. Next weekends toy retrospective will be on my Batsu TMNT figures
Ok, so…I haven’t really been good at keeping up with all this. About a month ago I got a job. I get up at around 5am, go to the gym, then go to work…by the time I get home I pass out at 9pm like an old fart. The job is pretty fun though. I get $25 of free food daily haha, and I make posters and graphics for food events at a local college. Food, it is my vice haha.
The other day we threw an Ice Cream Social. At the event they had an Ice Cream Eating Contest. I told my friend Jeremey to join..needless to say, he dominated!
Look at that giant sundae! I don’t know how I refrained. The guy started the count down, Jeremey threw me his beanie and it was on. I don’t realy understand what the other people were doing. It was as if they were eating ice cream on a warm summer night. AND there were some small teeny tinny girls in this contest. Jeremey said he didn’t want to play around just in case one of these kids was a Kobayashi haha
Other than that, I really promise to update more. I am reworking 1 design I had done, and I am working on a zombie carnival one. I really need to try and reach out to more people. I learned something though. Some people you meet just want to use you until something better comes along to help them. So, I should do what I do best, work on my own. I can blow everyone’s mind, and sooner than later I am going to get that opportunity.
Ok, so…lately, I have been horrible at this updating thing. I’m not the best “blogger” as you would say.
Within recent weeks, I have just been busy. The biggest thing is I got a “real” job. Doing graphic design work for the Campus Dining Services over at Stony Brook University. Getting up at 5 am daily to head to the gym prior to work is a bit hard, but…I am getting through it. Besides that the “Herb Wisney’s Rejects” shirts came out. 2 Colorways…
Before I go, jusso you know…I will be posting soon about 3 of my friends who have been going after their dreams soon. I want to gather some images to post in the blog so…stay tuned.
I need to update more, if not for people who may read this, but just for my own personal relaxation. I need to update soon on the release date of the new T-Shirts (later this month) and a little look into the summer releases. “Don’t cross Teddy” will be one, the other will be a concept titled “The I Scream Man”
Later this week I will update a more in depth explanation of what I have been doing. So until then, let’s hope there is no more snow this winter in the Northeast
So, a few weeks ago I decided I wanted to do somewhat of a Disney spoof. Nothing too close though, but more so the idea of their cute nature. After wracking my brain a while, the Rejects were born. The basic idea being, these are the characters, who applied to Disney when they were casting for Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, etc. However, they didn’t get the job. I guess they weren’t endearing enough
Anyway, This is the first full, close up look at the graphic! Plus Yesterday, I went on Facebook and asked what color shirt I should print the graphic on. I cut down the choices to 3. Below you can see a large version of the graphic and the final 3 choices of shirt colors. (I know a bunch of people liked the Aqua Blue shirt. However, I cut that option, I have 2 blue colored shirts already and felt I need to not do another yet.)

So, There you have it. One of the new shirts that will be part of this whole revamp of Kreate. Imagine. Dream. One other is the “Don’t Cross Teddy” Tee. There are 2 more I want to be part of this whole “re-imagination.” Who know if some will be released at the same time, or spread apart. I am not sure yet. However, I do know “Herb Wisney’s Rejects,” will be the first shirt out! Leave any comments on the Facebook page about the post. The comments on here aren’t working correctly haha.
First off, I have been working on 2 sets of business cards. The first set for my friend Ace. She is a photographer, and asked me to make business cards and all that jazz, as well as help work on her website. Make sure you visit the link above, to check out her photos…and random thoughts She had an awesome vision for the design of her cards, and just company in general. Hopefully I can achieve the aesthetic she wants. So far she likes the cards though, so, wahoo. I would post pictures, but, I would rather wait until this whole project is finished.
The second set is mine. I need new ones, and just threw something together yesterday. With the whole new aesthetic of the site and stuff, I just felt they were needed.
Next, I have been thinking for K.I.D! to do a sort of Disney spoof. And I don’t mean my versions of the classic characters. Basically I will create all these little random monster like characters, with Disney like clothing, the Mickey pants, gloves, and shoes mostly. And put them in this run down garbage like environment. Last night I started sketching out one of the characters, this is what I can up with. Anyone want to help with a name?
Lastly, I want to talk about the Adidas x Star Wars collaboration. Has anyone seen all this? I think the photos have been out since early December. I just keep staring though There is clothing, and best of all, footwear. Consisting of all the Adidas classics, including the Samba, Superstar, Nizza Hi, ZX runners and others. My personal favorites are the AT-At and Falcon ones.
Ok, so…the site is changing. I’ve decided that I wanted to really try and delve into freelance work, and build my portfolio. K.I.D! Clothing now will be part of the “Kreate. Imagine. Dream.” ideal. K.I.D! will for the most part wont be effected much, other than I am trying to push the designs more. The first of the new tees will be the “Don’t cross Teddy” T-shirt.

Now, back to the site. I am going to try and blog more…I’m not very good at it though. However, seeing as the main page of the site now IS a blog, it will force me to post about random things and work/projects. There is another K.I.D! design in the works other than the above one, I’m going to be creating a logo and business cards and website for a friend.
As far as freelancing goes, if anyone is coming along this site and needs work done, there is a list of things i do to the right. That’s Tumm Tumm the Dumm Dumm, the little guy holding the sheet of paper. Also, on the top toolbar there is a link to a portfolio page with work of mine.
